A beautiful blanket of snow...

When the residents of Saint-Marc-sur-Mer in Saint-Nazaire opened their shutters on the morning of January 5, 2026, the landscape no longer looked familiar. Gardens, rooftops and roads that are usually grey or green... even the sand on the beaches had been covered by a thick white blanket, an unusual sight in a department with an oceanic climate. In the still-quiet streets, some people quickly reached for their phones to capture the scene, while others simply stood for a few minutes watching the snowflakes fall in silence — just like here, in front of La Cana.
