Villa La Brise recently had the pleasure of welcoming a Crew Captain from the Royal Caribbean and we were therefore able to obtain special permission to film the largest liner in the world - the Symphony of the Seas – before its official launch at the dry dock at STX France Saint Nazaire. .. I would like to share this incredible moment with you !

TESTING OF THE LARGEST EUROPEAN LINER Postée le 29 avril 2017

We went to see the enormous MSC Meraviglia which went off to sea for a second round of testing.
The ship, built by STX, is the largest liner ordered by a European shipowner ...
It came out of its dry dock at 6.50 am yesterday morning, April 28, to take advantage of the high tide. The MSC Meraviglia, the biggest ship ever ordered by a European shipowner, left Saint-Nazaire on Thursday to carry out its first trials at sea.
Built at the STX shipyards, the ship embarked with 350 workers and technicians on board. The objective is to carry out a battery of tests in open sea before its delivery at the end of May. Its return is scheduled for Sunday at Saint-Nazaire.
Commissioned by the Italian-Swiss ship owner MSC Cruises, the liner, 315 meters long and 43 meters wide, will accommodate up to 5,700 passengers on board.
The MSC Meraviglia is also the first of a series of eleven ocean liners that the shipowner is going to construct over the next few years at the STX shipyards at Saint-Nazaire and at its Italian competitor (and likely future owner) Fincantieri.
The twin brother of the Meraviglia, named MSC Bellissima, was also ordered from the STX shipyards and is scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2019.

GEMO, formerly ERAM, chose La Brise to shoot its women’s ready-to-wear campaign for Spring 2017. Visit one of the Follow Me boutiques (Nantes, Vannes and Bordeaux) glance around, look up and you’ll find some nice and familiar photos on their walls ... Something to watch out for !

THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER HAS NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR OUR LITTLE CORNER OF PARADISE ! Postée le 14 janvier 2017

At the exit of Saint-Marc-sur-Mer, the road ends there and there is a cul-de-sac.
To ensure the continuity of the trip, it would have been necessary to go through private grounds housing splendid villas from the 19th century, including the famous Georama manor.
The owners were not made to crop parts off of their little corners of paradise however ; so pedestrians, joggers and cyclists turn around here, or return to the road to go a little further along the Douaniers path towards Pornichet. The majority linger for a taste of the panorama, probably the most beautiful on the entire Nazarene coast. Fifteen meters high, the cornice is covered with bushy, Mediterranean vegetation ... We wish you all the best for this 2017 New Year.
Please note that the villa is open all year round. Come and spend a short weekend with friends or family, let yourself be guided by the pretty coastal path that will take you to Saint-Marc-sur-Mer or Pornichet and treat yourself to the delights of the sea that la Halle offers. Stop at the SPA at the Castle at Tourelles to take a wonderful moment relaxing then come to warm yourself at the real fire and fire place at the villa.
Take time to find yourself, around a good table, with friends or family, this winter or next spring ...

A GREAT DISCOVERY FOR LA BRISE Postée le 23 décembre 2016

In a small boutique in Nantes, this pretty aluminium base lamp, in 1930s design style, is going to find its perfect spot in our living room. Thank you Mira.

The big transatlantic liners passing in front of La Brise will not longer have any advantage over it...
We have installed a IP68 led strip lighting band under the guard rail, which is controlled from inside the house.
At night on the terrace, you can contemplate the ocean just as if on a large ocean liner !

THE GABLE OF THE VILLA GETS ITS NAME BACK ... Postée le 7 décembre 2016

Despite our expectations, we did not uncover the name of the house under the facing on east gable.
This gave us a good opportunity to offer La Brise a pretty fresco for Christmas !
It took us about thirty hours of work and a little research to find the mosaics with the most authentic colours ...
We are very happy with the result !
